Since 2012 the Len Evans Tutorial has utilised the conference room at Tulloch Cellar Door to hold the Judging Session’s. A beautiful light filled space that comfortably accommodates both scholars and tutors.
The Tulloch story began in 1895 when John Younie Tulloch accepted an unusual settlement of a debt, a 43 acre property at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. Tulloch took an immediate liking to the property and the five acres of neglected vines it contained. He set about rejuvenating the vineyards and so began the proud family tradition that continues today.
The Tulloch Cellar Door is nestled amongst the vines at the foot of the Brokenback mountain range and incorporates a large function room and private tasting areas. The Tulloch brand proudly celebrates 118 years in 2013. Tulloch is widely recognised as an iconic Australian wine brand with recognition of the wines being produced a fitting indicator of the high standards to be expected of this legendary Hunter brand in the years to come.
Awarded 5 Red stars annually by James Halliday since 2007, Tulloch has also been awarded Cellar Door of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, has seen Jay Tulloch inducted as a Hunter Valley Legend and has received the Heritage Award for their Pokolbin Dry Red and Private Bin label. In 2013, Tulloch Hector Shiraz was awarded the Wine of Provenance at the Hunter Valley Wine Show.
