2001 The Inaugural Scholars Tree

Picture 1 of 13

Each year as a measure of gratitude, the group of scholars donate a piece of art to the Tutorial. It began with the inaugural Scholars’ Tree, a Macadamia, being planted in 2001 at Tower Lodge. And each successive group has followed the tradition.

The Scholars’ Sculpture Garden was initially developed at the Lodge to house all these keepsakes, but has since been moved to an interim home at The Convent. But the tradition continues and each year at the celebration luncheon we gather in the garden to make a toast to Mr Evans, congratulate the latest group of scholars, celebrate the newest Dux and present the latest statue.
