Lining Up Our Dux

Sadly the 2020 LET was cancelled due to the pandemic. So to celebrate all things LET during what would have been 2020 Tutorial Week, we chatted with many of the past LET Dux and shared their recollections about their LET experience.

Happy Birthday Mr Evans

LET Foundation AWAC scholarship

The LET Foundation has partnered with the Sydney Royal Wine Show and the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Foundation (RASF) to offer a scholarship to attend the AWRI’s AWAC course in 2021. Applications are open until 1st November 2020. Cancellation of 2020 LET due to Covid-19

A big thank you from the Board and Tutors for taking the time to apply for the 2020 LET. Certainly the most number we’ve received in recent years.  However the current state of play with Covid-19 has meant that after much discussion the Board has decided to cancel the planned 2020 Len Evans Tutorial.  All 2020 applicants will not be required to apply again in 2021, unless you feel your circumstances have changed sufficiently and wish to to send in an even more impressive CV.  The LET Founder Len Evans would have turned 90 this August 31st, so perhaps you [...]

Applications open for 2020 in 20th anniversary year

Applications are now open for the 2020 Len Evans Tutorial, which this year celebrates 20 years, having seen close to 230 scholars attend what is said to be ‘the greatest wine school on earth’. In 2020, twelve lucky Australian wine professionals will attend Spicers Guesthouse in the Hunter Valley from Monday, 2 November until Friday, 6 November. Tim Dolan awarded Basil Sellers Prize for Dux at the 2018 Len Evans Tutorial

The 18th Len Evans Tutorial was held in the Hunter Valley from the 5th to 9th November 2018, with Tim Dolan, Senior Winemaker at Peter Lehmann Wines in the Barossa Valley, winning the Basil Sellers Prize for Dux. Len Evans Tutorial Trustee James Halliday noted that Tim judged exceedingly well across all aspects of the week long Tutorial.
