Len Evans tutorial claims the Maurice O’Shea

The Len Evans Tutorial has won the Australian wine industry’s most prestigious accolade – the McWilliam’s Maurice O’Shea Award. Held every two years, the Maurice O’Shea Award recognises an individual or group for their outstanding contribution to the wine industry. Conceived by the late Len Evans AO OBE, The Len Evans Tutorial has played a significant role in shaping so many of both present and future wine industry leaders. Adam Cotterell awarded Len Evans Tutorial Dux of 2015

The Len Evans Tutorial Qantas Dux for 2015 is Adam Cotterell from Melbourne. Adam is the Retail Sales and Events Manager at City Wine Shop Melbourne which is obviously a training ground for the LET with a previous Dux and two scholars coming from City Wine Shop. As Dux of the 2015 course, Adam has now been guaranteed judging positions at two of Australia’s most premier wine shows, the Sydney Royal Wine Show and the National Wine Show in Canberra. Matt Brooke named as Qantas Dux at the 2014 Len Evans Tutorial

The Len Evans Tutorial Qantas Dux for 2014 is Matt Brooke from Melbourne. Matt Brooke is former Head Sommelier at Brooks of Melbourne and now plying his trade at Crown. He is also one half of the winemaking team behind the Athletes of Wine label, along with the 2010 LET Dux Liam O’Brien. As Dux of the 2014 course, Matt has now been guaranteed judging position at two of Australia’s most important Wine Shows, the National Wine Show in Canberra and the Sydney Royal Wine Show. Lak Quach named as Qantas Dux at the 2013 Len Evans Tutorial

The 13th annual Len Evans Tutorial has named Lak Quach as Dux for 2013. Lak works for the fine wine distribution company Cellarhand. He is also well known for working with many previous LET Scholars at Melbourne’s European Group. The week long Len Evans Tutorial mixes blind judging brackets and open book masterclasses. Ned Goodwin named as Qantas Dux at the 2012 Len Evans Tutorial

The 12th annual Len Evans Tutorial has named Ned Goodwin MW as Dux for 2012. Ned is Wine Director for the Global Dining organisation based in Tokyo. It was a bit of a home coming as Ned's father's family are from Cessnock. Ned also consults to ANA (All Nippon Airways) for First and Business Classes. Ned is a regular visitor to Australia and isn't too far off moving his young family back home. Australian Wine Shows have a bright future

Some of the best and brightest talent of the Australian Wine Industry gathered in the Hunter Valley last weekend to do two very important things.
