Aaron Mercer - 2024 LET Scholar

The Len Evans Tutorial welcomes Aaron Mercer from Mercer Wines as a 2024 Scholar.

Aaron Mercer is the winemaker behind Mercer Wines, which produces delicious wines sourced from sustainably certified vineyards across New South Wales. A Hunter Valley local, Aaron's passion for the environment and winemaking has propelled him into a colourful international career, establishing him as one of Australia's most adaptable and innovative winemakers.

Now settled back in the Hunter with his wife and business partner Alison and their three children, Mercer Wines has opened their first solo Cellar Door on Hermitage Road, Pokolbin. Aaron not only focuses on making excellent wine, but he also cares about the future of the wine industry and aims to elevate Australia's standing as a global leader in sustainable grape growing and wine production.

Recently recognised at the Hunter Valley Legend Awards as a Winemaker of the Year finalist, Aaron has earned acclaim for consistently producing award-winning wines and for his dedication to the Hunter Valley, NSW, and Australian wine communities.
