Jonathon Mattick - 2024 LET Scholar

We would like to welcome Jonathon Mattick from Canobolas Wines as a 2024 Len Evans Tutorial Scholar.

Jonathon brings a diverse background in both viticulture and winemaking. He has a long history of working in cool climate regions with a focus on premium Chardonnay production. After working in many regions across Australia and a few international vintages he has now settled in Orange NSW, attracted there by the soils, climate and the long history of the Canobolas vineyard. With a keen interest in regenerative and organic viticulture, he endeavours to grow and produce the best grapes from each harvest and highlight the unique qualities of the season as it unfolds.

He has judged at many National and Regional wine shows and brings a wealth of knowledge that spans from vineyard to wine production. Jonathon is excited to embark on this incredible journey and looks forward to contributing to the greater wine industry over the coming decades.
